Dr. Shefali R. Parikh, a silver medalist in her M.B.B.S., completed her Master’s in Ophthalmology at Patiala Medical College. She specialized in glaucoma at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and advanced glaucoma and clinical research at Lund University, Sweden. Returning to India, she served as a consultant at L.V.P. Eye Institute and Sadhuram Lions Eye Hospital before establishing the Glaucoma Department at Lotus Eye Hospital, Mumbai, in 2008. With over 10,000 glaucoma surgeries and extensive publications, she actively promotes public awareness through outreach programs.
Dr. Rajul S Parikh
Dr. Rajul S. Parikh, a distinguished glaucoma surgeon, completed his Ophthalmology Masters at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and an advanced glaucoma fellowship at Lund University, Sweden. With over 10,000 glaucoma surgeries performed, he has served as a consultant at renowned institutions like L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and Bombay City Eye Institute. He directs Shreeji Eye Institute & Research Centre, Palak’s Glaucoma Care Centre & Palak’s Glaucoma Care Centre in Mumbai. Dr. Parikh’s research, extensive publications, and numerous lectures reflect his vast experience in glaucoma management and clinical research.

Babies and children are special and they require special care. They are different from adult (in size, basic function and psychology). They require special care. So we have specialist Pediatric Anesthesia Team lead by Dr. Ankit Desai and team for our small babies. They have lots of experience in dealing with small babies to the extend, we have operated 5 days old babies for glaucoma surgeries.
