This landmark instrument from Zeiss, the German company revolutionized the way we look at retina and optic nerve by means of diode laser and Optical interference method and gives cross section of the retina and optic nerve which was not possible till day. This has given treatment for many conditions which were not treatable earlier and has allowed the best monitoring of the treatment results. We also have new progression software which helps us in picking worsening of disease in earlier stage. This software is available in very limited centres in Mumbai.

This instrument, a Japanese make allows fast and near accurate assessment of the refractive power (spectacle glass number) of the patient's eye. It saves considerable time when compared with retinoscopy; an age old technique for refraction. It can also measures the corneal curvature of the eye, which is useful for cataract IOL power calculation along with contact lens fitting.
